THANKSGIVING
SERVICE PROJECTS – Many people will be
thankful for our students’ generosity this Thanksgiving. Our Pre-K through 8th
grade students put together 6 complete baskets for their Thanksgiving Service
Project. The food that was
remaining was donated to the Food Cupboard of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
We applaud our students for sharing their blessings with others in need.
STUDENT
COUNCIL – Juice and water
are sold at
lunch for 50¢ (soda
is also available to grades 6-8). The
Claire’s Fundraiser ended last Friday, November 20th .
Orders will be delivered on December 15th .
Thank you to all who ordered. We
will announce the winner of the $250 tuition credit, as well as the charity to
which Student Council will be sending a donation from the proceeds in next
week’s Wednesday Notes.
CHAPEL
OFFERINGS – Last week - $54.00 was
collected for the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission. Today’s
& next week’s chapel offering will go to Lutheran Children & Family
Services Ingathering.
CHRISTMAS PROGRAM – The K-4
students will be presenting this year’s Christmas program on Friday, Dec. 11th.
All 5-8 students are required to
participate. Family and friends are
cordially invited to attend beginning at
8TH GRADE CHRISTMAS
PICTURES –
The picture packages arrived and were
distributed last week. If you are not satisfied with your pictures or your child
was absent or forgot their money on picture day they may have their picture
retaken Friday, December 4th . For retakes the package must be
returned (except the class picture). Extra order forms are available in the
office. Team pictures will also be taken this day.
MILK
ALERT- There will be no milk on Monday,
November 30th . Please
bring in a drink on that day if you normally receive milk at school.
I will be collecting pink lids from Yoplait and YoPlus yogurt products to raise money for the benefit of Susan G. Komen for the Cure®. This organization raises funds for breast cancer research and community outreach across the country. Only pink lids can be submitted so if you purchase these Yoplait products please look for the pink lid. Remove the lid (small tears in the lid are OK but the whole lid must be sent in), rinse, and send to school. My goal is to collect 500 lids so any that you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. Also, a box will be placed in the lunchroom so if you bring a yogurt for lunch you can drop the lid (after rinsing) in the box. Thank you for supporting the fight against breast cancer. Thank you.
